Job Description

Join our team at Deutsche Telekom as a Generative AI Expert in the Product Innovation & Customer Experience (PIC) department of the Technology & Innovation board area. We are a leading telecommunications provider in Europe and aim to become one of the industry's top service companies worldwide. As a Generative AI Expert, your responsibilities will include:

Developing innovative products, services, and internal efficiency solutions using Generative Artificial Intelligence technologies.
Leveraging our vast amount of customer and other data in a secure, safe, and privacy-compliant manner.
Working closely with a team of AI experts and subject matter experts to build telco-grade, scalable products and services.
Providing guidance on Generative AI model selection, data set design, training pipelines, model orchestration, testing, and more.
Building products/services using both external cutting-edge Generative AI technology and developing your own Generative AI models.
Collaborating in agile, empowered development teams with software engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
Acting as a trusted advisor on Generative AI and AI more broadly, including senior management, to build a strong brain trust within Deutsche Telekom.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have:

Comprehensive expertise in Generative AI technologies and data science, with hands-on experience in developing Generative AI models.
Experience in building scaling products based on Generative AI technologies.
Proficiency in software development and open-source programming languages.
Strong knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS and Azure.
Excellent communication skills to lead AI technology discussions and engage with senior management.
Fluency in English.
Ideally, a mathematical, natural science, or engineering university degree, with a Ph.D. in machine learning or similar field.

Additional skills in Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing, Probability and Statistics, Programming and Data Manipulation, and Evaluation and Metrics are highly valued.
