Team’s Mission / Work Responsibilities
The Generative AI/LLM Team’s mission:
To maximize the impact of Mercari’s business and dramatically enhance productivity across the company through the application of generative AI/LLM technologies in our products
Specific work responsibilities include the following:
- Developing the application of generative AI/LLM technologies in Mercari Group’s services
- Creating tools to enhance productivity across Mercari Group’s companies and the teams within
- Selecting technologies for generative AI/LLM services and designing architecture for applications
- Staying up-to-date with the latest generative AI/LLM technologies and making external presentations
Unique and Bold Challenges
- In this position, you will be able to leverage Mercari Group’s vast amounts of information to create products used by a large number of people.
- You will have opportunities to design and implement applications of cutting-edge generative AI/LLM technologies for services used by tens of millions of people.
Required Qualifications
- iOS development using Swift
- Android development using Kotlin
- Experience in releasing and managing a commercial application on either iOS or Android.
- Ability to proactively drive the project along while appropriately communicating with the rest of the team
- Interest in Machine Learning
- Passion for the products and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing Applications for both iOS and Android
- Experience working in English

- Thinks about what’s best for the product and how they can provide the most value through technology

Employment Status
Full-time
- Probationary period: First 3 months after joining the company. (During this period your contract conditions will be the same as that of a permanent employee.)

生成AI/LLM技術を用いたプロダクト適応による事業インパクト最大化、および、全社の生産性の劇的な向上
具体的な業務内容は下記です。
- 生成AI/LLM技術を用いた、メルカリグループの各種サービスへのプロダクト実装や新規開発
- メルカリグループの各社・各チームの生産性向上のためのツール作成
- 生成AI・LLMに関わるサービスの技術選定、アプリケーションのアーキテクチャ設計
- 生成AI・LLMに関わる最先端の技術キャッチアップ・外部発表
ユニークなチャレンジ
- メルカリグループ内には様々な情報の蓄積があり、それを活かし、多くのお客さまに使ってもらえるプロダクトを作ることができます。
- 生成AI・LLMという新たな技術を数千万人を超えるユーザのいるサービス上での活用を設計、実装できます。
必須条件
- 以下のうち2つ以上の経験を持っていること（3年以上）
- Backend: Go, Javaなど言語を用いたAPIの開発経験
- Frontend: Webブラウザ, TypeScript, React.js, Next.js, Reduxなどを用いたフロントエンド開発経験
- Mobile: Swiftを用いたiOSの経験、もしくは Kotlinを用いたAndroid開発経験
- Data Platform: Data Platform: Dataflow/Spark/Kafka/Flinkなどの分散処理フレームワークを用いた開発経験や、AvroおよびProtocol Buffersで表現されるデータスキーマ、ファイルフォーマット（Parquet/ORCなど）に関する知識
- チームで適切にコミュニケーションを取りながら自らプロジェクトを進められること
- プロダクト・技術への情熱
