We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our newly restructured team. This is a great job for a skilled builder of intuitive, insightful, and efficient self-service dashboards, who has the end users at the heart of any decisions they make.
A bit about the job:
This is a key role in a transforming team, you will collect, analyse and visualise data for our UK General Insurance Claims business to make data driven decisions. Working alongside other BI Developers, you will build and maintain a strategic suite of self-service dashboards. You will maximise the return on investment in self-serve BI through increased usage, both in terms of the number of users and the usage per person. In addition, you will:
- Deliver a view of Claims performance utilising digital self-serve capabilities supported by automated data production
- Reduce the need for manual reporting. Support strategic business initiatives and regulatory requirements through the delivery of timely, accurate and governed MI
- Utilise the best of agile methodologies to ensure delivery of quality management information at pace
- Contribute to a risk aware culture ensuring Aviva data governance and data best practices are adhered to
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Experience developing BI solutions in Qlik Sense/QlikView or equivalent
- Script writing experience essential with SQL or equivalent
- Practical experience of database design and data transformation, supported by ETL processing
- Maintaining coding standards and standard methodologies in database design, along with ability to plan and organise own time with a good work ethic
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders

- Starting salary of £25,000 - £35,000 (National) and £35,000 - £45,000 (London based applicants) depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
