An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Saskatoon location beginning May 2024 for an approximate 12- 16 month term. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.
The Co-op, Data Science position will report to the Manager, Converged Technology.
What you will do:
- Work with our sites, the broader IT team, and a large range of Nutrien subject matter experts
- Assist in the development of hardware and software architecture for IT and enterprise OT deployment
- Acquire knowledge of the Potash business and gain understanding of where data analytics and advanced computer technologies (machine learning/ computer vision/ geo reference/ robotics/ and advanced analytics) can help improve operations and safety
- Assist in maintaining a strong working knowledge of existing systems used by the potash business unit
- Support and work with our Data Scientists as they create, modify, integrate, test, and sustain solutions deployed in our technology stack using sensor integration, computer vision or numerous other data science techniques
What you will bring:
- Currently enrolled in a 2 to 4 year Computer Science degree or equivalent program AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
