Professional Overview
I am a dedicated Ph.D. student at the Interdisciplinary School of Doctoral Studies, University of Bucharest, with a cotutelle Ph.D. program in collaboration with Universitat Politècnica de València. My research focuses on leveraging computational linguistics and advanced deep learning techniques to detect mental illnesses, such as depression and suicide, from social media data. My research has led to the development of novel state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms that reliably detect psychological patterns in language and visual content, with published results in top-tier conferences (e.g., ACL, EMNLP, ECIR) and journals (e.g., IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, Frontiers in Psychology).Professionally, I have extensive experience as a Researcher in various prestigious institutions, including the Pattern Recognition and Human Language Technology Center and the Conversational AI and Social Analytics Lab. My work has involved projects on natural language processing applications, depression detection, and analyzing multimodal data from social media. Moreover, I am an AI/ML Researcher at theCoRD.ai, applying my research knowledge to analyze team dynamics during online meetings in distributed teams.
