Professional Overview
AWS Cloud Engineer with over 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions, with a focus on cost optimization, security, and automation. Designed and implemented scalable AWS infrastructure using Terraform and CloudFormation. Automated provisioning of key AWS services including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and VPC peering connections. Built secure VPC architectures with public/private subnets, route tables, and NAT gateways. Managed EBS volumes, AMIs, and implemented disaster recovery strategies to enhance data resilience. Defined and enforced IAM roles, policies, and permission boundaries to ensure secure access control. Conducted vulnerability assessments and OS hardening on Linux environments to reduce attack surface. Applied patches and maintained compliance using AWS Systems Manager Patch Manager. Configured CloudWatch metrics, custom dashboards, alarms, and SNS notifications for real-time monitoring and alerting. Performed RDS performance tuning and infrastructure analysis to improve reliability and fault tolerance. Reduced cloud costs through S3 lifecycle policies, reserved instance planning, and rightsizing. Automated shutdown of non-critical resources during off-hours, resulting in up to 30% cost savings. Analyzed usage trends via AWS Cost Explorer and collaborated with teams to enforce cloud cost governance. Managed Azure Backup using Recovery Services Vault for cross-platform workload protection. Tested disaster recovery procedures across AWS and Azure using AWS Backup and Azure Site Recovery.
