Professional Overview
I am a qualified teacher, former senior education leader and independent AI evaluation and assurance specialist, with extensive experience across mainstream secondary education, specialist autism and SEMH provision, post-16 education and further education. My professional expertise encompasses SEND and inclusion, educational quality assurance, regulatory compliance, curriculum development, organisational improvement, staff development and leadership. I have held senior responsibilities for evaluating provision, improving educational outcomes, managing complex learner needs and ensuring that organisational systems and professional practice meet statutory and regulatory expectations. More recently, my work has extended into AI evaluation and assurance, assessing the accuracy, reliability, contextual suitability and practical application of AI-generated outputs, particularly where professional judgement, inclusion and safeguarding considerations are critical. I particularly enjoy projects where I am training models on evaluating whether they have enough information to generate outputs and whether outputs are legally, ethically and pedagoically sound for the English SEND system.
