Professional Overview
Julio is an Artificial Intelligence (AI) researcher and Data Scientist. He recently worked as AI researcher at the Samsung R&D Institute Brazil where he developed solutions for health and wellness for smartphone and wearable devicesJulio's expertise is backed by deep academic research. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Campinas, where his research pioneered methods for understanding video scenes without direct supervision. This followed his Master's, also at the University of Campinas, where he applied Convolutional Neural Networks to medical imaging for Lung Nodule Detection. He holds a BE in Systems Engineering from the National University of San Agustin (UNSA).Prior to his specialization in AI, Julio gained practical software engineering experience through roles as a software engineer at zAgile and a software developer at Scylla Informatica.
