With a decade of experience in machine learning, I have developed a balanced expertise in both research and engineering. My academic journey began with a PhD in Reinforcement Learning applied to dialog systems, conducted in the SequeL Labs at the University of Lille. This experience honed my ability to tackle complex problems and engage with cutting-edge research.Professionally, I have worked at Huawei, where I successfully bridged the gap between academic research and industrial applications. My role involved a 50/50 split between research and project work. I published in top-tier conferences such as NeurIPS and ICML, supervised PhD students, and acted as an internal consultant for product teams. My projects included setting up a reinforcement learning pipeline and developing neural network architectures for various product teams.This dual focus has allowed me to see the practical applications of my research in real-world scenarios, making my work both impactful and rewarding.
