About the role

We're rethinking KYC from first principles — not as a form-filling exercise, but as an intelligent system that builds a verified ownership picture of every entity we onboard. Beneficial ownership verification is where the complexity lives: shell companies, nominee structures, non-standard corporate filings. Getting it wrong means regulatory fines. Getting it right means faster onboarding. Gradrix has spent 3 years building a financial crime detection platform trusted by 40+ regulated institutions. We've handled AML and sanctions screening. Beneficial ownership is our next frontier, and we're building a dedicated team of 4 for this module. As the AI Beneficial Ownership Verification Developer, you'll build models that extract and verify ownership chains from unstructured corporate filings across 50+ jurisdictions. The output is a verified ownership graph surfaced in our compliance dashboard.

Responsibilities

  • Build NLP pipelines to extract entity and ownership relationship data from corporate filings
  • Develop ownership chain verification models that reconcile across multiple source registries
  • Design conflict detection for inconsistent ownership claims across data sources
  • Build the ownership graph construction and storage pipeline
  • Integrate verification outputs with the compliance dashboard via API

Requirements

  • 5+ years in applied ML or NLP, preferably in financial services or legal tech
  • Strong skills for document parsing and entity extraction
  • Experience with corporate data sources (OpenCorporates, Companies House, SEC a plus)
  • Python and FastAPI proficiency
  • Understanding of KYC/AML regulatory requirements
