About the role

Brand narrative is hard to measure. Marketing teams know instinctively when their brand story is drifting — when competitor messaging is bleeding into their category, when a product launch changed how journalists talk about them, when a cultural moment created an opportunity to own new language. What they lack is data. We're building the analytics layer that makes brand narrative measurable. Our platform ingests news articles, social content, analyst reports, and earnings call transcripts, then tracks how concepts, language patterns, and entity relationships evolve over time relative to competitors and category benchmarks. This is a 9-month freelance engagement to build the NLP analysis engine that powers the narrative intelligence features. You'll design the entity-concept relationship extraction pipeline, the longitudinal trend modeling, and the dashboard API that surfaces findings to marketing strategists.

Responsibilities

  • Build entity-concept relationship extraction from unstructured text at scale
  • Design longitudinal trend models tracking narrative shifts over time
  • Implement competitor benchmarking pipelines across media types
  • Create dashboard APIs delivering narrative intelligence to marketing teams
  • Develop NLP features for language pattern similarity and drift detection
  • Deliver on 2-week sprint cycles with product manager review

Requirements

  • 5+ years in NLP engineering with production text analysis experience
  • Experience with entity extraction, relationship modeling, and trend analysis
  • Proficiency with Hugging Face, LangChain, or equivalent NLP tooling
  • Strong API development skills and REST API design
  • Ability to work independently with a clear product spec
