About the role

Python, LangChain, and a strong internal data governance culture are the foundation of everything we build, including our newest project: an internal chatbot that helps data stewards find the right governance policy without digging through wikis. We already have the governance data well-structured from years of prior work. What we don't have yet is a conversational interface on top of it, and that's where you come in. Reliability and auditability matter here, so every chatbot response needs a traceable source. This is a strong junior role with senior mentorship built in.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build and iterate a LangChain-based chatbot over internal governance data
  • Write and test prompts that produce traceable, sourced answers
  • Maintain and extend the underlying Python service
  • Work with data stewards to validate chatbot accuracy
  • Document chatbot behavior and known limitations

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Python development experience
  • Some exposure to LangChain or similar LLM frameworks
  • Interest in prompt engineering and conversational AI
  • Careful, detail-oriented approach to accuracy and sourcing
  • Comfortable receiving structured mentorship from senior engineers
