Junior AI Casting Porosity Vision Analyst

About the role

We already inspect welds and painted surfaces with computer vision on our factory floor; what's missing is a model trained specifically to catch porosity defects in metal castings before they reach the machining line. You'll help label training data, train classification models under the guidance of a senior vision engineer, and validate detections against X-ray ground truth. Reliability matters here — a missed porosity defect can mean a part failing under stress later.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Some project experience with computer vision and tensorflow
  • Basic familiarity with docker for model deployment
  • Comfortable working on-site at a manufacturing facility
