Junior Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We serve over 40 game studios who license our simulation models for balancing and testing. We publish internal writeups on what works and encourage engineers to read papers and bring ideas back to the team. The person in this junior role will support our senior researchers by running experiments, building baseline models, and gradually taking ownership of small modeling tasks as they grow into the role.

Responsibilities

  • Run experiments designed by senior researchers and report results
  • Build baseline models to compare against new architectures
  • Maintain experiment logs and reproducibility documentation
  • Support data preprocessing for simulation training sets
  • Learn our modeling stack hands-on with structured mentorship

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience with machine learning fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of Python and NumPy
  • Exposure to PyTorch or Keras through coursework or projects
  • Curiosity about game systems and simulation is a plus
  • Eagerness to learn from a research-driven team
