About the role

We don't care where you work from. We care about output, clear communication, and ownership. Our team of 18 is spread across 6 countries, and we've shipped an enterprise knowledge management platform that uses fine-tuned LLMs to answer questions across a company's entire document corpus. As a senior LLM engineer, you'll own the model layer: fine-tuning open-source models on client-specific data, optimizing retrieval pipelines for accuracy and latency, and building the infrastructure to serve multiple clients' models simultaneously on shared GPU clusters. We're at the stage where our architecture needs to scale from 10 clients to 100. You'll make the technical decisions that determine whether that happens smoothly or not. If you've scaled LLM serving infrastructure before and have opinions about how to do it right, we want to hear them.

Responsibilities

  • Fine-tune and deploy open-source LLMs for enterprise knowledge management
  • Architect multi-tenant model serving infrastructure on Kubernetes
  • Optimize RAG pipelines for retrieval accuracy and response latency
  • Drive technical decisions on model selection, quantization, and caching
  • Mentor mid-level engineers on LLM engineering best practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years in ML engineering, 2+ years focused on LLMs
  • Deep experience fine-tuning models with Hugging Face and PyTorch
  • Production experience with RAG and LangChain
  • Kubernetes and Docker expertise for model serving at scale
  • Experience with AWS (EKS, SageMaker, S3)
