About the role

You'll be the fourth engineer on a 12-person platform team that ships MLOps infrastructure to 300+ enterprise ML teams. Our clients run thousands of models in production. Many are doing A/B experiments on model versions — comparing new fine-tunes against production checkpoints, testing different serving configurations, measuring real-world impact. The problem: most of them are doing this manually, with scripts they wrote themselves, and when experiments conflict or contaminate each other's traffic, they find out during the quarterly review, not in real time. We're building the orchestration layer that makes model A/B experimentation first-class — scheduled, observable, and non-conflicting by design. This role requires strong ML platform engineering skills and a solid statistical foundation. You'll design the experiment scheduling system, implement traffic splitting at the inference layer, and build the statistical testing framework that tells teams when to stop an experiment.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build the model experiment scheduling and conflict detection system
  • Implement traffic splitting at the inference proxy layer for concurrent experiments
  • Build statistical significance testing into the experiment monitoring pipeline
  • Develop experiment lifecycle management APIs for the client-facing platform
  • Document best practices for model experiment design and publish to our developer portal

Requirements

  • 5+ years in MLOps or ML platform engineering
  • Strong Python skills and familiarity with Airflow, MLflow, and Kubernetes
  • Statistical knowledge sufficient to design and analyze A/B experiments
  • Experience building multi-tenant infrastructure
  • Excellent technical documentation skills

Benefits

  • $130k–$160k base + equity
  • Fully remote
  • Access to production ML telemetry from 300+ enterprise deployments
  • Conference and research budget
  • Health and dental insurance
