About the role

The team is 11 engineers, the product is live, and our customers are asking for more. We build an AI-powered research assistant for investment analysts — it reads SEC filings, earnings transcripts, and news articles, then generates structured summaries and flags material changes. Now we're adding autonomous agent capabilities. You'll design and build multi-step agent workflows using LangChain and LlamaIndex. These agents need to plan their own research paths, decide which documents to retrieve, synthesize information across sources, and present findings with citations. Reliability and accuracy are non-negotiable — our users make investment decisions based on the output. We move fast but carefully. Every agent behavior is tested against golden datasets before shipping. If you care about building AI that people actually trust with important decisions, this role will challenge and reward you.

Responsibilities

  • Design multi-step agent architectures for financial document analysis
  • Build and test autonomous research workflows with LangChain and LlamaIndex
  • Implement citation tracking and source verification for agent outputs
  • Partner with product to define agent capabilities and guardrails
  • Own the evaluation pipeline for agent accuracy and reliability

Requirements

  • 3+ years in software engineering with strong Python skills
  • Hands-on experience building LLM-powered agents or chatbots
  • Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and RAG patterns
  • Experience with FastAPI and Docker
  • Interest in financial services or information retrieval
