About the role

Our monitoring platform generates 5,000 alerts per day across 80 client environments. Most are noise — known issues, transient spikes, or duplicate signals for the same underlying problem. Someone needs to separate the 50 alerts that require human attention from the 4,950 that don't. As an alert triage coordinator, you'll classify incoming alerts using a combination of AI-assisted analysis and your own growing judgment. You'll group related alerts into incidents, assess severity based on business impact, route high-priority issues to the right response team, and continuously improve the triage rules that automate the most common classification decisions. This is an operational role with a strong learning curve. Within three months, you'll recognize alert patterns faster than most engineers. Within six months, you'll be training the AI triage system based on the classification knowledge you've developed. The role grows as fast as you do.

Responsibilities

  • Classify 5,000+ daily alerts separating actionable issues from noise
  • Group related alerts into unified incidents for efficient response
  • Assess severity and route high-priority issues to appropriate response teams
  • Improve automated triage rules based on classification patterns
  • Generate daily triage reports tracking alert volume and resolution trends

Requirements

  • Python proficiency for data analysis and scripting
  • SQL skills for querying alert and incident databases
  • Strong pattern recognition and analytical reasoning
  • Ability to work efficiently under time pressure
  • Interest in operations, monitoring, or incident management
