About the role

We serve over 400 API partners whose client SDKs are built against our contract, and every API update risks quietly breaking some subset of those SDKs before anyone reports it. You will build a scanner that tests popular client SDKs against staged API changes before release, flagging likely breakage so the partner ecosystem team can reach out proactively instead of reactively. You'll own this tool end to end, integrating it into our release pipeline and working directly with the partner ecosystem health team on prioritizing which SDKs matter most.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build a scanner testing client SDK compatibility against staged API changes
  • Integrate compatibility scanning into the pre-release pipeline
  • Prioritize SDK coverage in partnership with the partner ecosystem health team
  • Flag likely breaking changes early enough for proactive partner communication
  • Maintain a growing library of SDK test harnesses across languages

Requirements

  • 6+ years in API platform or developer infrastructure engineering
  • Strong Python and FastAPI experience
  • Comfortable working with containerized test environments
  • Experience maintaining backward compatibility across a large API surface
