AI Audience Psychographic Segmentation Developer

About the role

We're scaling fast after landing three enterprise contracts with major consumer packaged goods brands. They want to understand not just who talks about them online, but why — what values, motivations, and lifestyle signals drive each segment of their audience. Psychographic segmentation on social data is your job. You'll build models that go beyond demographic inference to identify attitudinal clusters — audiences that share a mindset, not just an age bracket. The input data is social text (posts, comments, profile metadata). The output is labeled audience segments that marketing teams can act on. This is a junior role with senior mentorship. You'll start with EDA and clustering on a labeled dataset, move to building a lightweight model pipeline, and expand scope based on your progress. We're building a team, not filling a slot.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EDA on social text and profile metadata to identify segmentation signals
  • Build clustering models to group audience members by attitudinal and behavioral patterns
  • Implement text feature extraction pipelines to surface psychographic signals from social posts
  • Produce segment profile summaries for client-facing reporting
  • Maintain Airflow pipelines for weekly audience refresh

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of data science or ML experience, including some text analysis exposure
  • Python and scikit-learn for clustering and classification workflows
  • SQL for data extraction from our social listening database
  • Curiosity about consumer psychology and marketing analytics
