About the role

Every brand sounds the same when they plug in ChatGPT. The default AI voice is helpful, generic, and forgettable. Our service creates custom brand voice profiles — prompt architectures, tone guidelines, vocabulary constraints, and evaluation rubrics that make AI-generated content sound distinctly like each client's brand. As a freelance brand voice designer, you'll work on 2-3 client engagements per month. Each engagement starts with brand analysis: reading existing content, interviewing stakeholders, and defining the linguistic DNA — sentence rhythm, vocabulary preferences, humor boundaries, formality gradients. Then you translate that analysis into prompt engineering artifacts that any AI tool can use. This is equal parts linguistics and engineering. You'll write the brand voice guides, build the prompt templates, create evaluation rubrics, and test outputs against real brand samples. The deliverable isn't a document — it's a working system that generates on-brand content consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client brand voice through content audits and stakeholder interviews
  • Design prompt architectures that encode brand-specific tone and vocabulary

  • Deliver working brand voice systems with documentation and training

Requirements

  • 3+ years in content strategy, copywriting, or brand development
  • Hands-on prompt engineering experience with OpenAI API
  • Strong linguistic analysis skills for brand voice codification
  • Portfolio showing brand voice work or content strategy projects
  • Ability to translate subjective brand qualities into systematic prompts
