AI Business Process Mining Engineer

Most organizations have no idea how their processes actually run. They know how they're supposed to run — that's in the documentation. But the real process lives in event logs: the timestamps of every action taken in every system, which tell a completely different story. Process mining extracts that story from the data and shows exactly where bottlenecks, deviations, and inefficiencies occur. We're one of the leading process mining platforms in Europe, serving 240 enterprise clients in manufacturing, insurance, and logistics. As a junior engineer, you'll build the data pipelines that transform raw event logs from SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and custom ERP systems into the standardized format our process mining engine expects. Process mining is a niche that rewards depth. You'll learn it from experienced practitioners who have been in the field for a decade, and within 18 months you can own a client vertical independently.

Responsibilities

  • Build ETL pipelines transforming event logs from enterprise systems into process mining format
  • Develop SQL-based analytical queries for process performance benchmarking
  • Maintain connectors for SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and custom ERP integrations
  • Implement data quality checks ensuring event log completeness and timestamp accuracy
  • Document data pipeline architecture for client-specific implementations
  • Support senior engineers on complex client integration projects

Requirements

  • 1+ year of professional data engineering experience
  • Strong SQL skills with experience writing complex analytical queries
  • Python proficiency for ETL and data transformation work
  • Familiarity with enterprise software like SAP or Salesforce is a plus
  • Methodical approach to debugging data quality issues
