AI Call Center Whisper Coaching Engineer

About the role

We just closed our Series A and are scaling fast. We need a contract engineer who can ship a real-time coaching layer that whispers compliance reminders and next-best-response prompts into a live agent's ear during a call, without adding perceptible latency. This sits on top of our existing speech pipeline, so you won't be building ASR from scratch — you'll be building the low-latency decision layer that decides what to surface and when, and making sure it never talks over the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Build a low-latency prompt-injection layer for live agent calls
  • Tune retrieval so coaching hints stay relevant to call context
  • Work within strict latency budgets shared with the streaming ASR team
  • Instrument false-positive coaching rates for QA review

Requirements

  • Experience with real-time or streaming ml systems
  • Hands-on with rag pipelines under latency constraints
  • Comfortable in pytorch and aws-hosted inference
  • 6-month contract with possibility of extension
