AI Call Summarization Prompt Engineer

About the role

Have you ever read an AI-generated call summary that confidently invented a refund nobody promised? Our customers have, and they are tired of it. Galtion Intelligence powers voice agents for insurance and healthcare contact centers, and every call ends with a summary that a human agent relies on. We need a contractor for six months to rebuild our summarization prompts, write evaluation sets from real (redacted) transcripts, and cut hallucinated commitments to near zero. You'll report to our head of conversation design and work with a small QA crew that will happily tear your outputs apart.

Responsibilities

  • Redesign the prompt chain that turns call transcripts into structured agent-facing summaries
  • Build a labelled evaluation set covering refunds, cancellations, escalations and compliance disclosures
  • Run weekly regression reports comparing prompt versions on faithfulness and completeness
  • Document prompt patterns so the in-house team can maintain them after the contract ends

Requirements

  • Shipped at least one production LLM feature where accuracy was measured, not assumed
  • Practical experience with OpenAI or similar APIs and structured output formats
  • Able to write small Python scripts to batch-run and score prompts
  • Contact center, insurance or healthcare domain knowledge helps a lot
