About the role

Before a brand launches a $2M ad campaign, they want to know: will it work? Our prediction models estimate campaign performance — impressions, click-through rates, conversion rates, and ROI — from the creative assets, targeting parameters, and historical performance of similar campaigns. Think of it as a flight simulator for advertising. As a junior engineer, you'll build the historical analysis pipelines that power these predictions: aggregating past campaign performance by industry, format, audience segment, and creative characteristics to create the baseline models that inform predictions. You'll also track prediction accuracy against actual campaign results, building the feedback loop that makes predictions better over time. The marketing science team is four people. You'll work under a senior data scientist who designs the prediction models; your job is the data preparation, feature engineering, and accuracy tracking that feeds their work. It's a great way to learn applied ML through real advertising data with clear right-or-wrong outcomes.
