About the role

GPU clusters are expensive. Over-provision and you waste budget. Under-provision and training jobs wait in queue while researchers lose momentum. Our capacity planning team forecasts compute demand, optimizes resource allocation, and makes sure every GPU-hour delivers maximum value. As a junior capacity planning analyst, you'll track cluster utilization metrics, build demand forecasting reports, analyze job queue patterns to identify scheduling bottlenecks, and maintain the dashboards that infrastructure leadership uses for procurement decisions. This is an analytical role in an infrastructure context. You won't be writing ML models — you'll be modeling the demand for ML infrastructure itself. Within a year, you'll understand cloud GPU economics better than most infrastructure engineers, and you'll have the analytical skills to optimize any resource allocation problem.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Track GPU cluster utilization metrics and generate weekly reports
  • Build demand forecasting models for compute capacity planning
  • Analyze job queue patterns to identify scheduling bottlenecks
  • Maintain capacity planning dashboards for infrastructure procurement decisions
  • Assist senior engineers with cost optimization analysis

Requirements

  • Python and SQL proficiency for data analysis
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to trends and patterns
  • Tableau or data visualization experience
  • Interest in infrastructure and cloud economics
