About the role

Every infrastructure change carries risk — but most organizations approve changes based on gut feel and verbal assurances. The engineer says the firewall rule change is low risk. The deployment says it touches 3 services. Nobody has run the data to see how often similar changes to similar services caused incidents in the past. Our change management intelligence platform analyzes change request history, service dependency graphs, and incident correlations to predict the blast radius of proposed infrastructure changes before they're approved. We serve 120 enterprise IT and DevOps organizations. As a junior developer on the risk modeling team, you'll work on the features that analyze change patterns and compute risk scores. You'll write Python and SQL, maintain the data pipelines that feed the risk models, and help build the dashboards that show change advisory boards the data behind each risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Build data pipelines ingesting change request history and service dependency data
  • Implement risk scoring features based on historical change-to-incident correlation
  • Create dashboards visualizing change risk assessments for approval workflows
  • Write automated tests for risk scoring accuracy and pipeline reliability
  • Maintain service dependency graph ingestion from CMDB and infrastructure tools
  • Analyze incidents retrospectively to improve risk model feature engineering

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Python and SQL development experience
  • Basic statistical reasoning for correlation analysis
  • Familiarity with IT operations, DevOps, or infrastructure concepts
  • Interest in risk modeling or incident management domains
  • Systematic debugging mindset and strong documentation habits
