AI Changeover Time Reduction Optimizer

About the role

Our clients include Fortune 500 manufacturers running production lines that lose hours every week to changeovers between product variants. Synta Cloud's digital twin platform already models machine health and predictive maintenance for these lines. We have the sensor infrastructure and the streaming pipeline in place, but nobody has built the optimization layer that recommends changeover sequencing to minimize idle time. That gap is costing our clients real production hours every shift. You'll design the model that analyzes historical changeover data and recommends optimal production sequencing, working two days a week on-site with plant engineering teams to validate recommendations against floor reality.

Responsibilities

  • Build models recommending optimal production changeover sequencing
  • Analyze historical changeover and downtime data from Kafka streams
  • Validate recommendations with plant engineering teams on-site
  • Integrate optimization outputs with existing digital twin dashboards
  • Deploy and monitor models on Azure infrastructure

Requirements

  • Experience with optimization or scheduling models in a manufacturing context
  • Strong PyTorch and Spark skills
  • Kafka experience for streaming sensor data
  • Azure production deployment experience
  • Willingness to work on-site two days a week
