AI Chatbot Compliance Disclaimer Engine Developer

About the role

We're building the compliance layer that customer-facing chatbots have been missing for years. Right now, most support bots skip legally required disclaimers or bury them where nobody reads them, and that's a real liability for regulated industries like insurance and fintech. You'll design and ship the engine that decides which disclaimer belongs in which conversation turn, in which language, and how it gets logged for audit purposes. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints, clear ownership, and weekly syncs with our compliance and product leads. This isn't a side project bolted onto an existing bot, it's a core system that every conversation flows through before it reaches a customer.

Responsibilities

  • Design the disclaimer insertion engine across conversation flows
  • Own versioning and audit logging of every disclaimer shown
  • Partner with product to map disclaimers to conversation intents
  • Coordinate with compliance leads on regulatory language updates
  • Instrument coverage metrics for disclaimer delivery

Requirements

  • 3+ years building conversational AI or chatbot systems
  • Experience with LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks
  • Familiarity with regulated industries such as fintech or insurance
  • Solid Python and API design skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast sprint cadence
