About the role

Forty thousand hotel guests interact with our AI concierge every month — asking about room service hours, requesting late checkouts, booking spa appointments, or complaining about noisy neighbors. The bot handles 55% of these autonomously. We want 80%. You'll own the conversational AI engine behind our hospitality platform. That means improving intent classification, building smarter escalation logic, expanding the knowledge base per hotel chain, and handling the weird edge cases that only hotel guests produce. The stack is LangChain, FastAPI, and RAG pipelines backed by per-client knowledge stores. We measure resolution rate, guest satisfaction, and escalation accuracy daily. Your work will have quantifiable impact every single week. If you enjoy making AI systems genuinely useful for real people in real situations, this is the role.

Responsibilities

  • Improve intent classification and response generation for hotel guest queries
  • Build and optimize RAG pipelines for per-hotel-chain knowledge retrieval
  • Design escalation logic that routes complex issues to human staff appropriately
  • Analyze conversation logs to identify failure patterns and improvement opportunities
  • Ship weekly improvements tracked against resolution rate and satisfaction metrics

Requirements

  • 3+ years in software engineering with chatbot or NLP experience
  • Hands-on experience with LangChain and OpenAI API
  • Experience building RAG systems for domain-specific knowledge retrieval
  • Strong Python skills with FastAPI
  • Comfort with SQL for conversation analytics
