About the role

Cloud bills surprise companies every month. Training job costs spike unpredictably. Spot instance savings evaporate when availability drops. Reserved instance commitments underperform when usage patterns change. Our forecasting platform predicts cloud spend 90 days out, giving finance teams the visibility to budget accurately and engineering teams the data to optimize proactively. As a junior cloud spend forecaster, you'll help maintain the prediction pipeline: ingesting billing data from cloud providers, decomposing costs by service and team, identifying spend anomalies that indicate waste or misconfiguration, and building the dashboards that make cost trends visible to engineering leadership. Cloud cost management is one of those problems that matters more every quarter as AI workloads grow. GPU instances are expensive, and most organizations have no idea how much they'll spend next month. You'll develop expertise in a problem every AI company needs solved.

Responsibilities

  • Ingest and normalize billing data from multiple cloud providers
  • Decompose costs by service, team, and project for allocation tracking
  • Identify spend anomalies indicating waste or misconfiguration
  • Build cost trend dashboards for engineering and finance leadership
  • Assist senior analysts with forecast model maintenance and accuracy tracking

Requirements

  • Python and SQL proficiency for billing data analysis
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing services and pricing models
  • Tableau or data visualization experience
  • Strong attention to numerical accuracy
  • Interest in cloud infrastructure and cost optimization
