AI Coaching Staff Decision Support Analyst

About the role

Our mission is to get advanced analytics out of the front office and directly into the hands of the people making in-game calls: the coaching staff. This role builds lightweight decision-support tools — substitution timing, matchup risk, fatigue signals — designed to be read on a tablet during a game, not buried in a quarterly report. You'll work closely with our senior sports data scientists while owning your own set of coaching-facing tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build decision-support models tailored for in-game coaching use
  • Partner with coaching staff to validate tool usefulness in real settings
  • Own a defined set of tablet-friendly analytics tools
  • Iterate quickly based on direct coach feedback

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of applied data science experience
  • Comfortable with Python and SQL for sports data analysis
  • Genuine interest in sports analytics and coaching workflows
  • Ability to translate models into simple, actionable outputs
