AI Cohort Retention Visualization Engineer

About the role

We're building embedded analytics that let product teams see cohort retention without exporting a single CSV into another tool. Right now, retention breakdowns require a data analyst and a day of turnaround. You'll build the visualization layer that lets any product manager slice retention by cohort, feature usage, or acquisition channel themselves, in seconds. You'll join a nine-person product team where you own this feature end to end, from the underlying query engine to the chart component a customer actually clicks on.

Responsibilities

  • Build cohort retention visualizations for the embedded analytics product
  • Design the query layer powering self-serve retention slicing
  • Optimize dashboard performance for large customer datasets
  • Work with design on chart interaction patterns
  • Gather customer feedback to prioritize next iterations

Requirements

  • Experience building analytics or BI-style dashboards
  • Strong SQL skills and comfort with Python for data prep
  • Familiarity with Tableau or Power BI concepts, even if building custom
  • Product sense for what makes a dashboard actually usable
