AI Compliance Engineer

About the role

Financial regulators are starting to ask our banking clients uncomfortable questions about their AI systems. How were the models validated? What data were they trained on? Can you prove they're not discriminatory? Most of our clients can't answer these questions today. You'll help them get there. You'll build automated compliance pipelines that continuously monitor deployed AI models for fairness, accuracy drift, and regulatory adherence. Think of it as CI/CD for model governance — automated tests that run on every model update and generate audit-ready reports for regulators. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire. You'll work with our legal team on requirements and our engineering team on implementation. The ideal candidate has enough technical skill to build monitoring tools and enough regulatory awareness to know what they should measure.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated compliance monitoring pipelines for deployed AI models
  • Design fairness and bias testing frameworks aligned with regulatory standards
  • Generate audit-ready reports for financial regulators
  • Collaborate with legal on translating regulatory requirements into technical tests
  • Monitor model drift and trigger alerts when compliance thresholds are breached

Requirements

  • 3+ years in ML engineering, compliance, or data science
  • Python proficiency with experience building monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with model fairness metrics and evaluation methods
  • Understanding of financial services regulations around AI
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
