AI Container Rightsizing Recommendation Engineer

About the role

We just closed a new funding round earmarked specifically for cutting our customers' cloud waste, and container overprovisioning is the single biggest lever we haven't shipped yet. We need a senior engineer to build rightsizing recommendations that analyze real container usage and suggest safe resource limit changes, something our current dashboards only surface as raw, unactionable numbers.

Responsibilities

  • Build models recommending safe container resource limit changes
  • Analyze historical usage patterns across customer Kubernetes clusters
  • Ship rightsizing recommendations into the existing cost dashboard
  • Validate recommendation safety against real incident history

Requirements

  • 5+ years working with Kubernetes at production scale
  • Experience with AWS or GCP cost and usage APIs
  • Track record shipping recommendation or optimization systems
  • Comfortable balancing cost savings against reliability risk
