AI Content Strategy Automation Engineer

About the role

Content teams at enterprise companies produce 200+ pieces per month across blogs, social, email, and documentation. The bottleneck isn't writing — it's strategy. Deciding what to write, for whom, optimized for which keyword, fitting into which campaign, and avoiding overlap with what was published last quarter. That's a data problem disguised as a creative one. We're building an AI-powered content strategy layer that analyzes existing content libraries, maps topical gaps, suggests content briefs ranked by estimated traffic potential, and checks new drafts against the full corpus for redundancy. You'll build the backend: ingestion pipelines for existing content, NLP analysis for topic extraction and clustering, and the recommendation engine that prioritizes what to write next. This is a 6-month freelance engagement at 25-30 hours per week. We have a clear product spec and design mocks ready — we need an engineer who can execute.

Responsibilities

  • Build content ingestion and analysis pipelines for large document libraries
  • Implement topic extraction, clustering, and gap analysis using NLP
  • Create a recommendation engine for content brief prioritization
  • Design APIs that integrate with existing CMS and analytics tools
  • Implement duplicate and overlap detection across content corpora
  • Deliver features in 2-week sprint cycles with product manager review

Requirements

  • 3+ years building NLP or text analytics applications
  • Experience with LangChain, OpenAI API, or similar LLM frameworks
  • Strong API design skills with FastAPI or similar
  • Proficiency in SQL for analytics queries
  • Ability to work independently within a defined product spec
