About the role

Our creative platform serves 600 marketing agencies who produce thousands of ad variants every month. The agencies love our AI-assisted copy generation — but the quality is inconsistent. One prompt produces gold; the next produces generic filler that sounds like every other brand on the internet. We need an engineer to build the quality control layer. You'll design prompt chains that enforce brand voice consistency, implement A/B testing infrastructure for prompt variants, and create evaluation pipelines that score generated copy against client style guides before it reaches a human reviewer. The goal: reduce human revision rates from 45% to under 15%. This is a 4-month freelance engagement, 25-30 hours per week. You'll have a clear backlog of features, a product designer for UI specs, and a brand strategist who defines what "good copy" means for each client vertical. Ship fast, measure everything, iterate based on data.

Responsibilities

  • Build prompt chains that enforce brand voice consistency across generated copy
  • Design evaluation pipelines to score copy quality against style guides
  • Implement A/B testing infrastructure for prompt variant comparison
  • Create feedback loops that improve generation quality over time
  • Integrate quality scoring into the existing content generation API
  • Document prompt engineering patterns that work for different verticals

Requirements

  • 3+ years building NLP or LLM-powered applications
  • Strong prompt engineering skills with measurable quality improvements
  • Experience with LangChain, OpenAI API, or similar orchestration tools
  • API design experience with FastAPI or equivalent
  • Ability to define and track quality metrics for generated text
