About the role

When a company spends $200K per month on cloud AI services, the CFO wants to know which team, which project, and which model consumed what. Our cost attribution platform breaks down cloud spending to the individual model and experiment level, giving engineering leaders the data they need to optimize budgets. As a junior developer, you'll build the data pipelines that ingest billing data from AWS, GCP, and Azure, tag each line item with team and project metadata, and produce the attribution reports that our dashboards display. The challenge is matching billing line items (which use cloud-provider-specific naming) to the logical resources (models, experiments, environments) that engineers actually think in terms of. The platform team is four engineers. You'll start with the AWS ingestion pipeline, learning the billing data schema and tagging logic. By month two, you'll extend to GCP. The work is methodical and detail-oriented — a misattributed $50K expense line creates real problems for real teams.

Fully remote.
