About the role

Traditional credit scores miss 45 million Americans who are "credit invisible" — people with thin files or no credit history at all. Our alternative credit scoring models use non-traditional data sources to assess creditworthiness: rent payments, utility bills, bank transaction patterns, and employment stability signals. The goal is expanding access to credit without increasing default rates. As a junior model analyst, you'll support the model development lifecycle: preparing training data, running feature importance analyses, validating model outputs against known outcomes, and generating the performance reports that regulators require. You'll also help maintain our model monitoring dashboards that track live performance across different borrower segments. The analytics team is four people. You'll work under a senior data scientist who designs the models; your job is the rigorous testing and validation work that turns a prototype into a production-ready, regulation-compliant scoring system. Expect to learn a lot about fair lending regulations, model governance, and the difference between statistical accuracy and business value.

Fully remote.
