About the role

Customer success teams are reactive by default — they reach out when something goes wrong. The opportunity cost of that approach is enormous: accounts that were quietly ready to expand went untouched, and by the time the CSM got around to a check-in call, the champion had already evaluated three competitors. We build AI tooling for customer success organizations. Our expansion signal system analyzes product usage, support ticket patterns, team growth signals from LinkedIn, and external funding news to identify accounts ready to expand their contract before they raise the conversation themselves. Early pilots showed a 34% increase in expansion ARR when CSMs used our signals versus their own judgment. You will own the signal development: identifying new expansion predictors from usage and external data, building the models that score account expansion readiness, and designing the daily digest that routes the top 5 expansion opportunities to each CSM.

Responsibilities

  • Develop expansion readiness scoring models from product usage and external signals
  • Build LinkedIn job posting and headcount growth signal ingestion pipeline
  • Implement funding and firmographic event monitoring for expansion trigger detection
  • Design daily expansion opportunity digest for CSM distribution
  • Create A/B testing framework measuring CSM expansion outcomes with and without signals
  • Analyze signal accuracy through expansion outcome tracking

Requirements

  • 3+ years in customer success analytics, product analytics, or B2B growth ML
  • Experience with external signal enrichment from firmographic or intent data sources
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for behavioral data analysis
  • Understanding of SaaS expansion economics and CSM workflows
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings to customer success leadership
