About the role

You'd join a CX engineering pod of 8 people who've spent two years building our AI-powered customer success platform. We automate onboarding, track health signals, and now we want to do one more thing: map every customer's journey automatically so CSMs stop guessing and start knowing. This role is about building the automation layer that reconstructs customer journey timelines from event logs, support interactions, and product usage data. You'll integrate LLM summarization to produce human-readable journey narratives that surface in CSM dashboards. It's a great first production ML role. You'll have strong mentorship from two senior engineers, a clear project scope, and real users from day one. We're not looking for someone who's done it all — we're looking for someone who's eager to build and learn fast.

Responsibilities

  • Build event log ingestion pipelines to reconstruct customer interaction timelines
  • Implement LLM-based summarization of journey segments using LangChain
  • Create REST APIs to serve journey maps to the CSM dashboard frontend
  • Write unit and integration tests for all pipeline components
  • Iterate based on CSM feedback collected through weekly review sessions

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of Python development, including API or data pipeline work
  • Familiarity with LLM APIs and prompt design patterns
  • Basic SQL for querying event log tables
  • Willingness to learn in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
