About the role

We serve data teams at financial institutions where every access request to sensitive data must be logged, justified, and approved through a formal workflow. Today, that process eats hours of analyst time on tickets that could largely be automated. We're building a system that reads access requests, checks them against data classification policies, and routes only the ambiguous cases to a human reviewer. The person in this role will own that automation end to end, working alongside our existing data governance and lineage tools already used by dozens of enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

  • Build automation that classifies and routes data access requests
  • Integrate with existing data lineage and governance tooling
  • Define rules that auto-approve low-risk, well-justified requests
  • Partner with compliance teams to validate automated decisions
  • Maintain audit logs for every automated approval or denial

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with data pipelines and workflow automation
  • Experience with SQL and orchestration tools like Airflow
  • Familiarity with data governance or compliance workflows
  • Comfortable working with Snowflake or similar data warehouses
  • Strong attention to auditability and correctness
