AI Data Product SLA Compliance Monitor

About the role

Our mission is to make data as reliable a product as any other piece of enterprise software, with the SLAs to prove it. Snowflake, Spark, and AWS are the backbone of every data product Lyrex Data ships. In this role you'll build the monitoring layer that tracks whether data products are actually meeting the freshness, completeness, and accuracy SLAs promised to internal consumers, and alerts data product owners before a broken SLA turns into a broken downstream dashboard. This matters because right now SLA violations get discovered by angry Slack messages from data consumers, not by us — and that's exactly the kind of trust erosion a data platform team can't afford.

Responsibilities

  • Build SLA monitoring for data product freshness, completeness, and accuracy
  • Design alerting that reaches data product owners before consumer impact
  • Integrate monitoring with existing Snowflake and Spark pipelines
  • Build SLA compliance dashboards for the data platform leadership team
  • Partner with data product owners to define realistic SLA thresholds

Requirements

  • Strong SQL and Spark experience with large-scale data pipelines
  • Snowflake experience for enterprise data warehousing
  • AWS production experience
  • Experience building monitoring or alerting systems for data platforms
  • Comfort defining and negotiating SLA thresholds with stakeholders
