AI Data Retention Schedule Automation Developer

About the role

Enterprise clients in regulated industries need proof that data past its retention window is actually deleted, not just marked for deletion in a spreadsheet someone forgot to run. You'll build the automation layer that enforces retention schedules across our clients' data platforms, deleting or archiving records on schedule and generating the audit evidence compliance teams request during reviews. Our clients include financial services and healthcare organizations. Auditability of every deletion action is non-negotiable, and this role owns making that automation trustworthy at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated enforcement of data retention schedules
  • Generate audit evidence for every deletion or archival action
  • Integrate with client data platforms across cloud environments
  • Handle exceptions and legal holds correctly
  • Coordinate with compliance teams on schedule changes

Requirements

  • Experience with data governance or compliance automation
  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Familiarity with Airflow and cloud storage systems
  • Understanding of regulated data retention requirements
