About the role

We've already built model registries and lineage tracking, and what's missing is visibility into which training datasets carry licensing restrictions that block commercial use downstream. This role builds the system that traces every dataset used in a training run back to its license terms, flags conflicts before a model ships to a paying customer, and keeps that mapping current as datasets get added or deprecated.

Responsibilities

  • Trace training datasets used per model run back to license terms
  • Flag licensing conflicts before models reach commercial deployment
  • Integrate license tracking into the existing mlflow model registry
  • Maintain an up-to-date dataset licensing catalog with airflow jobs

Requirements

  • Experience with data lineage or model registry systems in production
  • Strong sql and python for building tracking pipelines
  • Familiarity with airflow orchestration and docker deployment
  • On-site presence required at our Seattle engineering office
