About the role

Figma, our internal component library, and our design QA checklist are the core of what our design systems team runs on. If you've ever wanted to automate the tedious parts of a design handoff, this part-time role was built for you. You'll build lightweight automation that flags component drift between Figma files and our production codebase, packaged as a small FastAPI service our designers can trigger themselves. Why this is interesting: every drift check you automate removes a manual audit step our design systems lead currently does by hand every sprint.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build automation flagging design-to-code component drift
  • Package automation as a self-service FastAPI tool
  • Maintain lightweight Docker-based deployment for the tool
  • Document usage for the design systems team

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience with Python and FastAPI or Flask
  • Basic familiarity with Docker
  • Interest in design systems or developer tooling
  • Available roughly 20 hours per week
