About the role

A digital twin is a living simulation of a physical system — updated with real-time sensor data, calibrated against actual performance, and used to predict what will happen next. Our platform builds digital twins for industrial facilities: power plants, refineries, and manufacturing lines. The twin tells operators what's about to break, how to optimize output, and what happens if they change a process parameter. You'll architect the twin infrastructure: ingesting real-time sensor streams from thousands of IoT devices, running physics-informed ML models that simulate system behavior, updating twin state with actual measurements to maintain calibration, and serving predictions through APIs that integrate with operator control systems. Digital twins sit at the intersection of physics simulation and ML. Pure data-driven models miss physical constraints. Pure physics models miss real-world deviations. You'll build hybrid models that respect thermodynamic laws while learning the empirical corrections that make simulations match reality.

Responsibilities

  • Architect digital twin infrastructure for industrial facility simulation
  • Design real-time sensor ingestion from thousands of IoT devices
  • Build physics-informed ML models combining domain equations with learned corrections
  • Maintain twin calibration by updating state with real-time measurements
  • Serve predictions through APIs integrated with operator control systems

Requirements

  • 7+ years in simulation engineering, IoT, or industrial ML
  • Strong PyTorch skills for physics-informed neural network development
  • Experience with real-time streaming architectures (Kafka, Spark Streaming)
  • Kubernetes and Docker expertise for simulation infrastructure
  • Understanding of industrial control systems and process engineering
