About the role

We serve over 200 marketplace sellers whose buyer disputes currently take an average of four days to resolve by a human agent reading through message threads. This role builds the system that reads dispute evidence — messages, tracking data, photos metadata — and drafts a resolution recommendation a human reviewer can approve in under a minute. It's a high-trust system: recommendations need clear reasoning attached, not just a verdict.

Responsibilities

  • Build evidence-retrieval pipelines for buyer-seller dispute cases
  • Generate resolution recommendations with attached reasoning for reviewers
  • Own the fastapi service that serves recommendations to the ops team
  • Track reviewer override rates to identify model blind spots

Requirements

  • Experience building rag systems that must justify their output
  • Comfortable owning a production fastapi service end to end
  • Background in trust and safety or dispute-heavy domains a plus
  • Able to work closely with policy and ops stakeholders
