AI Edge Device Fleet Diagnostics Engineer

About the role

You'll join an edge platform squad of seven, working directly with our firmware and on-device model teams on a growing operational problem: a fleet of devices in the field with no easy way to diagnose why a specific unit is underperforming. You will build a remote diagnostics system that aggregates telemetry, power, model latency, and update status across the fleet, surfacing likely root causes for support engineers without requiring physical device access. You'll work closely with the on-device model update team to make sure diagnostics stay accurate as firmware and model versions evolve across the fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Build a remote diagnostics system aggregating telemetry across the edge device fleet
  • Surface likely root causes for underperforming devices to support engineers
  • Coordinate with the on-device update team to keep diagnostics accurate across versions
  • Own the fleet health dashboard used by support and field engineering
  • Investigate diagnostic false positives reported by the field team

Requirements

  • 3+ years in edge, embedded, or fleet infrastructure engineering
  • Strong Python skills and experience with containerized deployments
  • Comfortable working with noisy, incomplete field telemetry data
  • Experience supporting infrastructure used by a non-engineering support team
