About the role

When a Fortune 500 CISO asks 'how does your AI handle PII in model training data?' — you need to answer confidently, accurately, and without checking Slack. As an AI sales engineer, you'll be the technical expert in enterprise sales conversations, running live demos, building proof-of-concept integrations, and answering the hard security and architecture questions. You'll support 3-4 active enterprise deals at a time, working alongside account executives to move opportunities from evaluation to close. Each deal requires custom demo environments, technical documentation tailored to the client's architecture, and sometimes quick prototype integrations that prove our platform works with their existing stack. This is a revenue-impact role. You'll directly influence $5-10M in annual deal flow. The best sales engineers combine deep technical knowledge with the communication skills to make complex things simple for non-technical buyers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discussions and live demos in enterprise sales conversations
  • Build custom proof-of-concept integrations for prospective clients
  • Create technical documentation tailored to client architecture requirements
  • Answer security, compliance, and architecture questions from enterprise buyers
  • Support 3-4 concurrent enterprise deals from evaluation to close

Requirements

  • 3+ years in sales engineering or technical consulting
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms and deployment
  • Strong Python skills for building quick POC integrations
  • Experience with enterprise security and compliance requirements
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for C-level audiences
